The oxidation mechanism that hydroxyl radicals and reactive ionic oxygen generated by photocatalyst can oxidize bacteria and virosomes is as follows:CoA oxidation mechanism, cell wall (membrane) destruction mechanism,DNA&RNA genetic material destruction mechanism.Photocatalytic sterilization has the advantages of excellent sterilization effect that traditional inorganic antibacterial agents can't compare with, such as durability, broad spectrum, heat resistance, no drug resistance, thorough sterilization, etc., and it also has the advantages of non-toxicity, tasteless, no irritation to the skin, no consumption and reusability.
Principle of air purification by photocatalytic technology
Under UVA irradiation,TiO2 catalyst can form electron holes with strong oxidation,and at the same time,it can react with water molecules to form hydroxyl radicals with strong oxidation to form oxidized hydroxyl and superoxide ions.It can oxidize almost all organic compounds and decompose them into carbon dioxide and water,mineralize gaseous compounds containing nitrogen and sulfur,eliminate odor,and at the same time have self-cleaning function.
Photocatalysis has the ability to kill bacteria and viruses,destroy cell membranes of bacteria and viruses,solidify virus proteins,destroy coenzyme A,RNA and DNA of bacteria and viruses,and decompose residual toxins.It has the characteristics of broad spectrum,no selectivity and no drug esistence.
